Ongoing Positions
Bilingual Call Center Representative
The Bilingual Call Center Representative works closely with patients to schedule appointments for primary and preventative care at each of UNHS’ clinics. CCRs navigate each Provider’s schedule and place appointments in the most efficient time slot. CCRs are responsible for the work flow of each schedule. CCRs must make every effort, while remaining within the scope of their position, to resolve patient needs before diverting them. CCRs must multi-task and may be assigned a specific range of duties by their supervisor to improve efficiency and assure quality of patient care.
Qualifications:
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish
- At least 1-2 years experience in a Customer Service environment
- Knowledgeable in medical terminology in English as well as Spanish and strong interpersonal skills
- Good computer, spelling, filing and other general office skills
- Good basic reading, writing and math skills
- Good basic technical knowledge and skills related to clinical duties
- Ability to speak clearly and to use tact, discretion and sensitivity with patients
- Ability to deal courteously and efficiently with providers, referral sources and other business representatives

The medical assistant is a member of the clinical team, working closely with the front office, other medical assistants and nurses, and providers to assure that patients are seen as quickly and efficiently as possible and provided the full range of primary and preventive care of the highest quality as established by protocol in a sensitive manner.
Medical assistants must multi-task and may be assigned a specific range of duties by their supervisor to improve efficiency and assure quality of patient care.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education as medical assistant or a combination of education and experience that results in required competencies
- Good computer, spelling, filing and other general office skills
- Good basic reading, writing and math skills
- Good basic technical knowledge and skills related to clinical duties
- Ability to speak clearly and to use tact, discretion and sensitivity with patients

The Medical Doctor is responsible for the provision of health care services to patients who receive their care at UNHS health centers. Such care may involve ambulatory services, night call care, hospital care and other as specified by UNHS. The Medical Doctor is expected to participate in quality assurance activity, member satisfaction, appropriate utilization of health care resources, electronic health record use and team meetings.
The Medical Doctor supports the UNHS mission to assure access of the underserved to healthcare, to engage patients in a meaningful healthcare experience through the patient-centered health home model, to provide high quality healthcare and to participate in controlling the cost of such care.
The Medical Doctor supports integrated healthcare involving behavioral health providers and dental health providers in care as appropriate.
The Medical Doctor will achieve meaningful use of electronic health records each year as the standards are updated and expanded by the federal government.
